Cleanup before entering New Game+

Once you defeat the final boss, you are put back in Marrow Keep and can continue in your current playthrough. Clean up anything you may have missed. Once you are ready to continue to NG+, you interact with the Ova Siphon in Marrow Keep to trigger the ending of the game and progress to the next playthrough.

The default order minimizes known lockouts. Goal branches insert relevant tasks; they do not create a second route.

  1. Step 11

    Run the post-story incomplete-only cleanup

Free roam remains available after the final boss. Clear every unfinished required target before using the Ova Siphon.

  2. Step 12

Enter NG+ only after exporting a backup

Use the Ova Siphon to advance. The companion resets targets with unknown carryover instead of assuming they survive.

Build a post-story exception list

Begin cleanup by filtering the tracker to incomplete targets instead of revisiting every record. Review each remaining item by completion line: trophies first when a requirement is missable, collectibles by the map category that owns them, and exploration records by their linked area or boss entry. This ordering is a companion workflow, not a claim that the game forces one cleanup sequence. It gives every unresolved target a visible reason to remain open and keeps already confirmed work out of the review queue.

A target may appear in more than one completion line, but it still has one stored state. Confirming a shared boss or collectible therefore closes the matching target across the walkthrough, tracker, and supported map view. If two source records disagree, do not choose the more convenient result. Leave the item incomplete, open both attributed records, and preserve the disagreement for a later version review.

Separate companion progress from save progress

The export control saves the site's profiles, target states, and selected route in a local JSON file. It does not include a console or PC game save, screenshots, platform trophies, or an inventory snapshot. Before any cycle transition, export the companion profile and use the platform's own save process independently. Keeping those artifacts separate makes recovery clearer: import the JSON to restore checklist state, and use the platform backup only when gameplay progress must be restored.

After exporting, record the remaining target count and inspect the incomplete-only map view. Open each target's guide rather than assuming a map pin proves collection. Coordinates and captured conclusions are leads tied to a source snapshot; the current release may move, rename, or correct them. Mark the task complete only after the game state and the source-backed requirement agree.

Use the cycle transition as a hard gate

The captured roadmap places the Ova Siphon transition after post-story cleanup. On this site, that means the transition target should remain open while any required first-run item is unresolved. Review missables, known issues, trophy requirements, and the core collectible categories before changing it. Optional work can remain skipped, but skipped and complete are intentionally different states so the final receipt does not overstate what was actually done.

Carryover that has not been confirmed is treated as unknown. The companion therefore avoids promising that a target, item, or route decision will survive the next cycle. If you proceed despite an unknown, keep the source record linked and document the result in your own run rather than converting the assumption into site-wide fact. That conservative boundary is the reason this phase may show more open work than the game UI.

Reopen the incomplete filter after the transition decision so the recorded receipt still matches the route state you intended to preserve.
